1. Agreement and scope

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of Smart Craps Table, including its website, software, tablet interface, game server, and related features (collectively, the “Service”). By ticking the box on the sign-in screen, creating an account, or otherwise accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization.

2. What the Service does

Smart Craps Table is a software project designed to support a craps-style game using physical dice and digital interfaces. Features may include dice recognition, game-state management, simulated or configured bets, player screens, and table administration.

The Service may be incomplete, experimental, or changed at any time. Features described in project documentation or a roadmap are not necessarily available in a public release.

3. Entertainment only; no real-money wagering

Unless the operator expressly provides separate written terms and the required legal authorizations, the Service is for demonstration, testing, and entertainment only. It does not offer real-money gambling, promise cash prizes, or authorize users to wager money or anything of monetary value.

In-game balances, chips, scores, and statistics are informational game values only. They have no cash value, cannot be redeemed, and are not transferable property unless an expressly published, legally reviewed product feature states otherwise.

You are responsible for complying with laws applicable to you. Do not use the Service for unlawful gambling or to facilitate wagering where prohibited.

4. Eligibility and acceptable use

You may use the Service only where lawful and only if you can enter into a binding agreement under applicable law. The Service is for adults: you must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if higher) to use it. If the operator sets a higher minimum age for a release, you must meet it.

You agree not to:

5. Accounts and security

Some versions may work locally without an account. You can play as a guest or sign in (for example with Google). If an account or player identity feature is offered, you must provide accurate information where requested and keep your credentials or recovery codes secure. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account or access code, except to the extent applicable law says otherwise.

Tell us promptly if you believe access has been compromised. The operator may suspend access to protect users, the Service, or its systems.

6. Chips, purchases, and refunds

Smart Craps uses virtual chips. Some chips are given to you for free (for example a welcome amount or chips earned by watching an ad), and some can be bought. Chips are a license to play inside the game: they have no cash value, cannot be cashed out, sold, exchanged for money or prizes, or transferred to another person, and we do not buy them back.

Purchases are made through a payment provider such as Stripe or PayPal. We do not see or store your full card details. The price is shown before you pay. Purchased chips are digital content that is added to your account straight away, so by buying them you ask for the content to be provided immediately.

If you think a charge is wrong, or you were charged and did not receive your chips, leave a message and we will look into it. Where the law gives you a right to a refund or a cooling-off period, that right is not affected by these Terms. If a payment is refunded or reversed (including by a chargeback), we remove the matching chips from your account, and we may suspend an account that has been used to abuse this process. Chips may be removed or reset if an account is closed for breaking these Terms. We may change chip prices and packs for future purchases.

7. Availability, updates, and experimental features

The Service is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, accurate dice recognition, or compatibility with every device, camera, browser, or network. A human review may be needed where dice recognition is uncertain. Do not rely on the Service as the sole record for financial, regulatory, or safety-critical decisions.

We may update, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service. We will provide notice where required by law.

8. Intellectual property and open-source components

The Service and its original content are owned by the operator or its licensors, subject to third-party rights and the licenses that apply to individual components. Your use of source code is governed by the license file distributed with the relevant version, if any. These Terms do not replace or override an applicable open-source license.

You retain rights to content you submit, if submissions are supported. You grant the operator only the limited rights needed to operate and maintain the Service, subject to the separate privacy notice and applicable law.

9. Third-party services

The Service may rely on third-party hosting, analytics, authentication, payment, or other providers in some releases. Those providers may have their own terms and privacy notices. We will identify material providers in the relevant product notices where required. We are not responsible for third-party services to the extent permitted by law.

10. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot legally be excluded.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business arising from use of the Service.

To the extent liability may lawfully be limited, the operator's total liability for claims relating to the Service will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose and US$50. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including any mandatory consumer rights.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, misuse, or discontinuation. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual-property provisions, disclaimers, and limitations of liability, subject to applicable law.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms as the Service evolves. The “Last updated” date will be changed when revisions are published. Where required by law, we will give additional notice or obtain consent. Continued use after an effective update means acceptance only where that is legally valid.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws that apply where the operator is established, excluding conflict-of-law rules. This does not take away any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of the place where you live, including any right to bring a claim in your local courts.
